Refunds and Cancellation Fees

The school will NEVER give any refund once the student has started his/her course. In certain cases the school can offer credit for future courses.

a. 3 Weeks and more prior to arrival in Malta.

Cancellation fee = Registration fee

b. More than 2 weeks and less then 3 weeks prior to arrival:

Cancellation fee = 50 EURO + Registration Fee

c. Less than 2 weeks and more than 1 week prior to arrival in Malta:

Cancellation fee = 1 week's tuition and accommodation + Regisration Fee

d. Less than 1 week prior to arrival in Malta

Cancellation fee = No Refund

Students who are absent for lessons will get no refund. Changes in course and accommodation after confirmation are subject to a 50 € administration charge.

Public Holidays
10th February, 19th March, 31"t March, 9th ApriI, 7th June, 29th June, 15th August, 8th September 21st September, 8th December, 13th December, 25th December, F January. Lessons falling on public holidays are either held just the same or if students decide to take a holiday, lessons will be made up for. This decision is up to the prerogative of the school adrninistration after consultation with the students.

Reduction of Lessons
Magister Academy reserves the right to reduce the number of lessons in class due to insufficient number of students. The lessons will be reduced as follows:
- If 1 student in class:
Generai English: 10 lessons per week lntensive/Exam: 14 lessons per week Mini Group: 20 lessons per week
- If 2-3 students in class:
GeneraI English: 12 lessons per week lntensive/Exam: 20 lessons per week.

Timetable
The school reserves the right to change the times of the lessons. Students can have morning or aftemoon lessons or both. One to one courses: Magister Academy reserves the right to offer this course at any time of the day.

GeneraI Information
Courses for adults are held from Monday to Friday from 08:30 - 10:30, 11:00 to 12:30 (20 lessons). Students taking a course of 30 lessons also have lessons between 13:00 and 14:30. New students will be informed on arrivai about the time of their placement test. Junior Courses: Junior program does not include 24-hour supervision.
Magister Academy offers free accommodation in a twin room for foreign group leaders with a group of 20 students.
Magister academy reserves the right to cancel or change any activity due to unavailability, weather etc.

Rates & Conditions

Group courses are held all the year , Monday to Friday.
The Group courses normally start on Monday. Special arrangements can be made to start on other weekdays.
Individual courses can begin on any day including Saturdays and Sundays. Lessons (all of 40 minutes), can be held in the morning, normally from 08:30 to 12:30 hours. Afternoon sessions are from 14:00 hours. Evening sessions are held after consultation with the interested students.
The school reserves the right to alter any time table at short notice. Normally there will not be any lessons on public holidays. The school will offer alternative lessons to make up for any lessons that fall on public holidays.

* Second student attending any of the individual courses will pay only 50% of the fees.

High Season Supplement of EUR 45.00 a week on the course fees (from June to September).

General Conditions:

All fees per person per week.

A registration fee of 45.00 Euro per person per course covers all books, teaching materials and the use of all the school facilities and apparatus. There will not be any other charges for the use of the school facilities.

SPECIAL GROUP RATES (minimum 10 persons) are negotiated depending on the number of students.

Airport & harbour transfers

Students, may request, to be met by the school representatives, who would take them directly to their accommodation. Same services will be provided on the return trips. The school representatives will give them all assistance needed at the airport on arivals and departures.
Return transport fee: Single student: 25.00 € - any accompanying student: 24.00 €.

General Conditions For Participation

(a) Students must be 13 or over. Exceptions can be made after consultation with parents.
(b) Eight to 8 -12 years old attend special children's courses.

On arrival students are interviewed and assigned to a level of study based on their results.

Students are responsible for fees and any bank transfer charges. Deposits are needed to guarantee enrolment. In the event of cancellation, up to 4 weeks before the start of the course, the Academy will refund in full all deposit less 70 Euro administrative costs.

Students will be met on request at the airport and transport will be provided to their accommodation. Magister Academy will help students settle into the community. They will be given complete information on medical, postal, telephone, travel services, lifestyle and entertainment.

Students must abide by the rules of the host families, and students will be responsible for any damage caused.

Magister Academy is not liable, should it be prevented by situations beyond its control, from providing its services.

Any student, who selects to interrupt his stay after the course starts has no claim to any compensation.

Courses can be held in the morning or in the afternoon. The academy reserves the right to place students in any courses' schedule and to change the time table.

The course fee does not include any kind of insurance.

Payments. Application should be accompanied by a deposit of 215.00 Euro. Only places for which deposit has been received can be guaranteed. Balance has to be paid at the school before the start of the course.

Students should provide two passport photographs for their students' card.
